Easiest thing in the world, just as long as you keep in mind you give way to traffic on your right...

Round abouts are amazing. I've seen them put in and clear ridiculous traffic flow problems. MOST IMPORTANTLY, if they can put one in in Ms and have the people figure it out, then there shouldn't be a problem anywhere else

What I hate is the ones controlled by lots of different traffic lights. Totally defeats the purpose.

We have a few roundabouts here now, but the problem with them is that there is no instruction given to motorists on how to navigate them.

Suddenly one day, there will be a roundabout where there was a 4-way stop before.

Oh

Mississippi had colorful signs that said yield to traffic on the left. Pretty much all you need to know for that variety.

MA has them all over - I pass through 3 to get to work everyday. You can always spot the out of towner in them. :) Everyone knows that you're supposed to yeild to those on your left, and to those already in the rotary (and when in the rotary, those on the inside lane) but in practice you really yield to the biggest/oldest cars with the most dents. That rule applies to most of Boston's traffic though, the rotary just provides an extra element of fun with the spinning.

Funny, this is the attitude of the morons I mentioned in my original post. Duh,,, why are you stopping at a stop sign?,,, duh,,, that's why I ran into you,,,duhhhhhh.

Also, as I posted earlier, unless the cops in NYC don't care if you roll through stop signs, eventually your wallet will teach you to come to a complete stop at each and every stop sign. Are you really in so much of a hurry that the extra second and a half makes a difference?

We have a nice one up here. They are so much fun. I ride completely around it on the way to work, even when I don't have to. I wonder if that's illegal...

It isnt in the UK. We are taught to ride round if we miss an exit rather than charge across lanes of traffic.

A lot of knee down practise by the sportsbike lads is done at roundabouts in the middle of nowhere.

I think its only illegal when you're doing it multiple times.

"Teh winnar" of the dumb moves in the rotary are the people I've seen backing up because they missed their exit. I wish I could say that I was joking or that it'd only happened once..but no. Many times.
