It is a completely different style of riding. On a track it is all out, balls to the wall stuff. No heading into a corner at 9/10ths just in case there is a brick in the middle of the road or a car in your lane. It is flat out, as fast as you can go.

There is nothing like it.

The earliest I could get in was Oct 14 but if there are some photographers there verm, I will show you exactly how capable a Diablo Strada is...
cool!

i'd love to see what you can do w/ a strada.

on a similar note..

i heard this is a stock gixxer600 K6. this rider has some serious skill to do it w/ stock suspension and stock tires.

THE TRIFECTA!!! ...toe, knee, and elbow dragging! :smoke:

im not making excuses. i'd love to go to a trackday. i just don't wanna risk it all out there (unless im covered by my insurance) since my bike could easily be totalled there whether it's my fault or not.

im willing to push my myself BUT not the chance of losing my bike and not be covered by insurance.
The irresponsibility comes in when you deliberately put yourself at risk.

You aren't getting that are you?

I'm annoyed because you are making me sound like a parent. By the way I refer you to here.

ok... but that's the point of trackdays... to explore your limits in a less risky and somewhat controlled environment.

i think im gonna call my AAA agent now and finally see if i'll be covered or not.

and Kal... you are a parent.

Do yourself a big favor. Get your policy out and read it. Do not rely on what someone told you over the phone. In my experience, when you call and ask an insurance question, someone with little or no familiarity with the contract gives you the wrong answer. The policy is the only authority on the subject. If you crash your bike at the track and your claim is denied, "I spoke to someone on the phone" is not going to help one bit.

I have never had a car or motorcycle policy that did not have an exclusion clause for racing/competition. Trackdays would fit that description.
