more testosterone assisted opinion:

I wanted to weigh in on this "nothing is sexier than a women on a bike" thing to say, amen. It's the same as when I was younger and it was skateboards. When a women chooses to be involved in a typicly male dominated realm it shows a lot of strength and independance, and gives you (me) something in commen with them that you can share. My Xgf used to go to car shows with me and it was great to have her there but she didn't care the least about my car (you could usually find her asleep in the passenger seat by noon or earlier) The idea of having someone actually in the garage with you weighing in on issues and ideas is incredibly attractive, and I think if it's jealosy you're getting from these other ignorant women it's that connection that they're jealouse of.

Don't let others spoil your rides. You do what you do and should be proud of it. Enjoy!

Fortunately, most of the looks I get from people in general are of the dis-believing kind that turn into the "kool! you ride?" vs. the snotty kind. I don't think people realize I am a girl until they see my long hair behind me and by then, I'm usually passed and gone. The most positive comments I get are from other girls who, once they realize I ride, mention that they sure would love to ride so hopefully they'll re-think it and look into riding themselves one day. The more the merrier!
Ya right, there are only 2 kinds of bikes: It's a Ninja... look that one's a Harley... oh there's a Ninja... Harley...Ninja...

The young ladies and ladies that I have run into that comment on my riding, I ask if they ride and they usually dont, but would like too, but have one reason or another that they cant. I encourage then to take the course and not put it off for certain reasons, while other ones I can totally understand. There is no time like the present to get into it.

I know this is the Ladies Lounge but couldn't resist.
They just ain't got the balls (hope you will excuse my foul mouth) to do what you are doing.
Ignore them and enjoy the ride.
Nothing I like better than seeing a woman piloting a bike on her own.
Every chance I get I encourage women to get bikes of their own.
Keep Riding & Keep Smiling. :click:

OK i have read all the posts.. and i have a couple things to say.

#1.. lol.. i agree on that cap/small letter font.. lmao

#2... it's great that you guys think a woman is sexy drivin her own scoot, whatever it may be... but....

#3 im gonna be riding because i wanna be free, feel the wind in my hair, the freedom of the open road, and enjoy the ride with friends, or on my own, don't matter... AS LONG AS IM RIDING.

#4.. I ALSO agree that women who give ya snide looks shouldn't bother ya, after all... WE GALS, had/have balls enough to tackle ridin on our own, and *womens lib* got tired of "riding b****" behind some dude.

I love the saying where in the end ya wanna come in slidin sideways, and say.. "MAN, WHAT A RIDE!!!!!!!!!!!!"

Kind regards, Wizzard

Hey everybody :D
I just joined this month and I am really enjoying reading all of your posts. I am currently without a bike but am leaning strongly towards the Kawasaki Vulcan Classic 900 or the Suzuki c50T. I used to own a Vulcan 800 but got wiped out by a car on the side of a mountain. That was in 1999. I lost my right shoulder but I am very blessed to be alive. I miss my bike a lot though and I think I am finally ready to get back on the horse again. I intend to ride back and forth to work mostly until my family gets used to the idea of me riding again. I don't have any female friends that are riders so I am so happy that I found this site. I never had an interest in chat rooms or anything like this until now. Wow, that was a mouth full. You'd never guess I am kind of shy :) . Well take care.
Pam

We're glad that you found us. This board didn't always have the "Ladies' Lounge", but Mike (a.k.a. "TotalMotorcycle") decided that we should have a special forum. Welcome aboard! Good luck in your reentry to biking. Just take it one step at a time.

Cheers,
Loonette
