:2guns: MotoF150, you're not married (as far as I can tell never even been in a long term relationship). You made your joke statement already. I laughed and I'm sure a couple others did too. It's time to STOP now so that the grown-ups can talk for a while and make some constructive comments and truly help this person. Thanks!

Honestly, if she loves you, she will learn to accept that you ride and will eventually be fine with it. I have had people pretty much say that I WILL die in a motorcycle crash right in front of my face. They say it is only a matter of time. You can't change their view of motorcycles, so I just say f'em because they will never understand. I bought my motorcycle and my parents weren't happy, but they accepted the fact and are use to it. Your wife should do the same, but she will probably always worry.

Spoken like a true professional in the art of self gratification. I bet his own hand rejects him.

I've very sorry to talk off topic in your thread, but...

Is there a way to get rid of Moto? I mean at first it was fun to laugh at him, now he's just irritating. And he can say my girlfriend doesn't care about me all he wants, but you tell that to her when she broke a girl's nose to defend my reputation. xD.

What is this? The Jerry Springer show? Are you telling me you are proud of the fact that she broke someone's nose in order to defend your reputation. Have I been transported back to high school?

Now that stupid song is going to go round and round my head all day......singing "Take a look at my girlfriend, she's the only one I got, not much of a girlfriend, I never seem to get a lot, she broke someone's nose mamma, if that ain't love then I don't know what love is....."

Don't take my post too seriously, I am in a very smartass mood today. If I was 25 years younger, I would probably also be proud that my boyfriend broke someone's nose.....

Though her act may not have been a good choice, the face was aiming more towards the fact that women do, usually, care and I was happy she defended me. I could have positioned it at a better part of the sentence.

I'm thinking that just about everyone on the planet (or at least the ones that have read this post) thinks that what Moto said was mostly crap - no need to take offense . You are taking this way too seriously :D. Anyway, I have high jacked the hell out of this post (backing out).

Sorry for taking it too seriously, I've been on ETS, a Nine Inch Nails forum, and everyone there is waaaaaaaaaaay too tense most of the time..

Back to topic.

Getting the woman in your life to go along with you can be an ordeal and may take alot of time. My brother just kind of did what he wanted anyway.. And it worked out.. Sort of.. But the best way to get her into the idea I believe is to offer her to go with you to look at bikes, offer her to take the MSF, offer her to come along with anything you do, the more she feels she has a choice and can help you, quite possibly the more she will feel you are safe. Just take your time.

I wonder why.....

Well I can say that my wife came around. Her brother rides and her dad used to ride. I just bought here some gear so we can ride together (well ok I can take her places we only got 1 bike lol). Though she says she gets the next bike instead of me getting my dream bike and her taking the "handamedown" from me :D. course that will be a couple years from now. The problem will come in getting her to realize she needs to ride this old bike until she gets used to riding. That way if she crash's I wont get pissed off at having to fix up a new bike.
