Now the big one right behind you is the baby I ride... Black and yellow GL1500C... :spot: :roll2: :notworthy:
Ya, the Valkyrie is still the ultimate power cruiser in my books, too. Every one of the bikes in the picture was sold last year, now I'm just riding the XR650L and I'm perfectly content, at least for now.

My own Hector The Wonder Dog gives his Ural sidecar a "two paws up" rating. 8)

I get 75 MPG with my (2 stroke) Vino... screaming the engine at 40mph.
I got 100MPG with the CT200...at 25-30 mph.
My VL800 gets around 40 MPG.
I have no idea what my Capriolo gets.

That bike was rated for 175mpg for in city riding. I have no doubt it delivered as promised... my biggest concern was the possibility of the gas in the tank going stale, my time riding was shared across 4 different bikes at the time.

As for top speed, I measured that with my GPS and it showed the speedo to be accurate.

Not that this means that much since we can't run out to the dealer and buy one like it anyway.
im not trying to call you out, but if it really does get that kinda milage, thats crazy!
the 50cc scooters i've seen and ridden usually got around 100 mpg. I cant imagine getting 175.
Funny, the Yamaha Vino is rated at 190mpg. Not bad for a machine that weighs 52 pounds more than my C200 and is running on fat little tires. I rest my case.
cool. And like i said, i wasn't trying to call you out or insult you, so hopefully your little man panties didn't get in too much of a bunch :) I've just never PERSONALLY seen that kind of mileage in the real world.

I do believe you though.

Well, I can see this thread has gone the way of most threads on the web, down the toilet..... :(

I start it with a little story and it quickly degrades into a pissing match.

Thanks to anyone who may have appriciated it. :frusty:

I think it's possible- if you never exceed 15 mph and there is never a hill or any real wind to ride into.

Mine is a two stroke, and it gets around 75 mpg....unless I go 25 mph, then I get 85. I know it will get a hundred if I use a tow rope.

Anyhow, thanks to all who read and liked the story I wrote. I actually was just relating the whole story as it happened.

That sounds like fun :)

Anyway, Yamaha's own website for the vino doesnt even give a MPG number, it just states it has "...predictable power with incredible gas mileage."

http://www.yamaha-motor.com/sport/produ ... tures.aspx

Then do a google search and see what people are getting. They're claiming 80-100 mpg.

175 miles per TANK i could believe. Not MPG though.
