Whoever mentioned it, I'm 23, not 20

But you can pretend I'm 20, I'm starting to feel old (graduating college next month and all).
On the Monster: The monster 695 is a good beginner bike. The numbers kind of lie. It has the same rwhp as the ninja 650r or the SV650. It is very controllable, has a very forgiving powerband, and is the smallest Ducati you can get at this point.
It also has a lower seat height than the S2R, and it has a wet clutch, unlike Ducati's bigger bikes. I say go for it. At your age, you should be responsible enough to handle it. If not, then you'll crash...

Dosn't matter how much maturity you have if you target fixate or freeze or freak out or accidently pop a wheelie, or over brake and skid of the road. The bike will do what it is instructed to do, whether the rider knows what inputs he is giving or not!
+1 As usual, Koss states it more eloquently and with fewer words than me!!

Hey wait... I thought it was always the other way around! I still havn't gotten a publisher to give me a book deal. I guess No one wants another book the length of Love and War... filled with only my forum ramblings!
