(Unbelieveable given that they are over $75K a piece!)
Too bad ya missed it. I'll bet you had that $75k cash in hand and ready to go didn't ya. :)
Well, I figured I should be able to get some pretty decent trade in value for my '96 Vfr.....

I dunno, for 20K less you can get a prototype GSXRADD... Just saw an article on it today in Motorcyclist magazine. Wow! Has the same basic type of front suspension as the Yamaha GTS1000. In other words, no front forks, just a single-sided swingarm that apparently handles better than the stock front suspension, AND reduces the overall weight of the Gixxer by 22 lbs!

Not to rain on your parade but I would bet that the stock Gixxer is better in every way....except weight. Lose the HEAVY stock exhaust system and you've got it covered.

I subscribe to Motorcyclist but their specialty is blowing everything way out of proportion to create excitement. They made the same sort of declaration about the GTS1000 and after talking to someone who paid the premium price, he admitted that it was not as good as a stock FZR at the time.

If hub center steering technology had surpassed conventional front end technology you would still see it in G.P.

Oh come on High Side! Haven't you learned that the more you pay the more you get? Or has the consumer mindset not gotten to you yet? HMMMMM We must work on that!
*Gets out the pocketwatch on a chain and dons his melodious monotone voice* YOU MUST BUY THINGS THAT ARE MORE EXPENSIVE, FOR THEY ARE BETTER

P.S. I didn't know that the GTS1000 ever made it beyond the rich and famous! Wasn't it meant to be a sport-tourer?

Well, of my original list, I got the following:

A set of these (in black please)

One of these:

)

A good leather jacket that doesn't look like a cast off from the Power Rangers set (expensive and hard to find for my fat *ss)

But I didn't get:

And for good measure, I'd like one of these:

I did, however, get this:

And most importantly, I got to spend the entire day with my lovely wife (who was the giver of all of the gifts I received above). Love that woman.

I was/am happy. Of course, now that I have the next week at home mostly alone (I'm on vacation, my wife has to work), I should be enjoying my new gifts. Instead, I have a freaking cold.

Awesome beardking! Enjoy the new toys!

I got all the games I wanted on Xbox 360. Unfortunately the adapter DH got for the xbox350 that lets me use a computer and keyboard to playthose games doesn't do what I need. So I can't play my games  Kinda sux, I cried actually. I was really looking forward to playing game console again.

Anything think they could make a controller for me if I gave some input on what I need?
