You asked why I didn't get a road king or something and I gave you my reason, now you're all butt hurt. a Don't ask for somebody's opinion if you think you maynot like the awnser. I've known plenty of people that have had problems with their HD's, and I'd rather not deal with them.
You'll have to do better than that. I asked for your personal experiences that led to your statements about Harleys and I'm still waiting for that answer, plus the reasoning why you think Victory is a better value. If you have valid points then I'll accept them but so far all you've done is mouth off the usual bull that one hears from people who don't have a clue. Back up your statements with facts.

And pay closer attention to the posts - it wasn't me who asked you why you didn't get a Road King.

I've personally known plenty of people that have had too many problems with their HD's. I own a sporty too and it leaks oil. Vics outperform HD's, they're a higher quality bike, and in my opinion they look better. HD had a huge edge when it comes to accesories because they've been around for 90 some odd years, but give Vic time and I'm sure they'll have many more. If that don't awnser your question too bad. I didn't intend for this thread to be turned into a

You were doing fine up to here. The rest of your post is just pointless name calling. Grow up.

I can't say as though I enjoy any one particular brand over another, especially when considering a used bike.

When you buy a used bike, you've got to throw a good chunk of 'brand name quality straight through the window.

Sure, maybe a Zuke is a good performer, or a Kaw's great handling (making these up as I go :P ) but unless you know how the previous owner rode it, that doesn't mean much. That's part of the problem when buying 'cheap' used sport bikes. Does the guy just need the money, or has he been out there drag racing it?

I bought the bike I did because, between the bikes that made it into my 'final cut', I knew this one came from a good owner. Even a Forshite (a crappy bike) is alright if the owner has taken care of it properly. It's a whole lot better than someone who's taken out a quality brand name and ran it into the ground.

So, you never know, basically. And I have no experience with new bikes to be able to tell you anything worth hearing.

Now there's an interesting idea for a thread... explaining the reasons and thought process behind the decision to buy the bike you're riding now. Hmmm... I think I might start that topic tomorrow.
