Last Sunday I went for a group ride that was quite long. I was struggling with pain and fatigue before I got home. So my friend and I stopped for a tea to recoup before making the last little bit.

I'm still paying for it today. I guess it was too much too soon.
Sorry to hi-jack the topic here for 1 post but I wanted to say that it's a long road you have been on Blues and I'm proud of you for having the stamina and drive to work up to even short rides! 2-weeks ago Andrea was hit in a crosswalk and is working her throttle hand back to use. I hope she can ride this spring. :D

Probably not. There are techniques that can help you pick up your bike.....if it should ever come to that.

Carol Youorski is probably the best known advocate for small people picking up big bikes.

Carol's BMW doesn't lay as flat as my V-Star does when it's down. (How do I know?  ) But I can still raise it myself, either side--even against a pile of decorative rocks.

I'm 5'4", 185 lbs, and just shy of 45 years old. If you don't have some serious joint injuries, you'll probably be all right.

You could always ask the dealer if, as a pre-condition of sale, whether you could practice picking it up first.
