My Aunt bought a car that had Dodge Omni on the front, and Plymouth Horizon on the back though, Manufacturers will run their own brands down the assembly lines, but not their competitors.

The Horizon and Omni are basically the same car with different badges and a few cosmetic changes. I've an '88 Horizon sitting with a blown head gasket that I am contemplating on restoring.

Sure, I know its not the sexiest car in the world, nor the fastest, nor the most desirable.......but it gave such good yeoman like service for so many years, that I sort of become attached to it.

I grew up in Louisville and never saw a Chevy roll out of the two Ford plants. Lincoln, Mercury, or Mazda maybe, but not Chevy.
They rolled them out the back door......in the dead of night..........when the moonlight was missing..........somethings are just too shameful to do in the light of day.......and making GM/Chevy trucks is high up on that list....
My brother just retired from Ford, and I have two nephews that work there still, so if they were to roll off a POS GM or Dodge vehicle I would have heard about it. Also if they produced the other brands I would have A plan discounts on them also, not that I would want one.

errrr..........it was a joke Mr. Invisible, a joke..............zoooom, right over the head???

Pretty sure Pete was joking about the 'all trucks outta a single factory' thing......

A Chevy truck makes a nice car.....

Ford's are great if you like to drive, cause you will have to drive it every single mile, it will wander around like a drunken hooker every inch it travels.... and every PowerStroke since the 7.3 has been pure junk.....

Dodge trucks are great..... until the tranny lets goes and the shrapnel comes through the floor and takes your foot off, or the constantly spinning front axle piles up and takes out the transfer case, which takes out the tranny, which comes through the floor and takes both your feet off.....

I've driven several versions of all the Domestic trucks from brand-shiny-new to worn-completely-the-fluck-out, and they all have some serious issues of some sort.

The truck I want is an F-350 with a Cummins turning an Allison transmission....

The 09 Dodge's look interesting, but time will tell what flaws they built in this time.....

Why yes, I may be just a little jaded on this subject.......

My baby brothers Ford Ranger tends to "float" about at speed, but you know I sort of enjoy it. Means I have to really drive the silly thing instead having it drive me.......That's the problem with most cars these days, they made them almost idiot proof and too easy to drive, what with power assisted steering, power ABS brakes, automatic transmissions, traction control and all that jazz.....no wonder cagers tend to zone out while driving, their cars are designed to put them to sleep.

I heard that.... I've miled-out 5 or 6 Fords and I'm still not sure if I made more miles forwards or side-to-side in 'em.

FORD = Found on road dead. or how about Chevelegs?

Ever watched "That 70's Show"? I liked the episodes involving the Corvette Red bought and one where crazy donkey took it out for a drive with a cheerleader.

I always wanted a Jeep Willy's
Image

Screw shiny vehicles I'm a sucker for anything in drab colors or camo.
