I feel for ya, Man. I really do. That just sucks.

It's finally safe to ride just about anywhere here. You'll be doing it on an inch or 2 of gravel and sand, but it beats ice and snow.

Well, got the bike out of the shed, and replaced the adjustment things on the back wheel. Unfortunately, the chain still seems to be a bit off kilter and grinds around the sprokets. Not really a big problem today, sionce the battery was dead anyways. :( I did try to switch out the battery that I have for the 650 maxim, but when I grabbed it from the basement, I noticed the casing was bulging out and there was some water/acid on the top of it. The battery had been left in my shed after the first freeze, and I noticed this at the time when I brought it in but had hoped it would go back into its original shape. it didnt. I figured that maybe if i popped off one or two of the little yellow plugs on the top it msay relieve some pressure, which it did rather forcefully, unfortunately it also misted my face with battery acid, so it now looks like I got a sunburnt. *L oh well, battery is getting charged as we speak, so hopefully I'll be able to get it started tommorrow, and then get it to my mechanic to get that grinding thing sorted out. Hopefully, I'll be in great shape to go riding when its a tad warmer.

P.s I did see some street sweepers out today clearing up the sand on the roads in town. w00t.

PPS the battery for my maxim is still all bulgy looking, is it a lost cause, or will it still work?

I think you better take that bulging battery in for recycling. I doubt it would be safe now.
