1955?
Good Guess, considering that my pic did NOT give you much to work with. But not quite right. It is a 1950 Harley FL. I owned it from March 15, 1950 until Dec 21, 1969. I have regretted many things in my life, but NONE as much as I regret selling this Harley. It is too long a story to relate here.
I could have given you MORE pic to work with. Such as this pic here:

I assume this was the first brand new bike you ever bought? Regardless, you buy a sweet bike like that brand new, and keep it for 2 decades, and then have to sell it for a whatever reason, it certainly must've been a very sad day for you.

This Harley was actually my SECOND new motorcycle. My first new motorcycle was a 1949 Harley WL (45 cubic inch) flat head. But the 1950 Harley was a classic in every way! It was a cycle which just "felt right" under me. I was a small fart riding this BIG Harley. This was way before electric starters on Harleys too! Imagine the fun I had on COLD mornings in Amarillo, Texas...cranking this 1200cc engine.
Why did I sell it, you ask? IF I can EVER think of a reason, I will be happy to tell you. Okay?
