i just ordered a new pair of Alpinestars gloves, they should be in tomorrow or Tuesday. that'll make a pair of Joe Rockets, a pair of Icons, and a backup pair of Joe Rockets that I almost never wear. The Icons are my favorite so far, but I bought the Alpinestars because the velcro on the Icons is getting more and more unreliable, so i'll have a loose flap slapping me in the wrist at 80mph half the time. that and they're not quite long enough to stay under the end of my jacket sleeves, so i get a very nice sunburn for about 1 - 1 1/2 inches.

the Alpinestars are the 3/4 glove.

the Icons are the pursuit perforated glove.

the Joe Rockets that i bought for my first pair were almost like MX gloves, as are the backups that i bought when my icons first started showing some wear. the first pair of Joe Rockets lasted all last summer and fall, into the winter when i picked up the Icons. the only real wear is that because they're not leather, the cuff has started to separate from the rest of the glove a little bit where i always grab it to pull it over the palm of my hand when putting them on. i think that's also partly due to the fact that the cuff is made of a very stretchy, elastic-y type material so i think it just kinda got wore out from being pulled too many times. i'll see if i can find pictures of them online to post so you can get a visual of what i'm talking about.
