Proud to be a part of Total Motorcycle : :tmwsign:

...where the people are friendly, the posts are not spam and it is one of those rare spots on the internet I enjoy going to everyday (even if I wasn't the owner)...

Proud AND happy to be all of the following:

An Earthling, a human, a woman, a wife, a mom, a friend, a firefighter, an EMT, an emergency dispatcher, a patriot guard, agnostic, a punk, an oddball, an American, and, of course, a member of Total Motorcycle.

Cheers,
Loonette

Lorem Caerulean-s

Quomodo currum tuum?

"Caesar ad sum jam forte
Brutus ad erat
Caesar sic in omnibus
Brutus in isat."

Bloody stupid that I can remember that from fifty years ago, but I can't remember what I had for my own tea yesterday.

A Registered General Nurse.

I qualified (on Scottish Register) in 1981, so when I pay my annual registration fee tomorrow that = 30years!

I haven't actually worked as a nurse all that time & my role as a theatre practitioner is very different from many nursing roles.

As I get older & more senior (age & experience not rank) I do find myself sounding like an old fashioned nursing Sister, harking back to basic standards. Probably not a bad thing to do, particularly in the high tech environment of a major Operating Suite.

So also proud to have been taught by some real old fashioned battleaxes such as Sister Helen Jeffries of the Eastern General Hospital, Edinburgh. Hospital now closed & Sister Jeffries probably checking the beds are properly made uopstairs. :D

No matter how hitec medicine gets....or nursing gets...the one thing that never changes is the need to wash the hands. We may have a ton of amazing equipment at our disposals and millions of dollars invested in such....but just let one little germ get by and whamo....the whole system can shut down.
