During my weekly meeting to discuss my two bike limit and increasing it to three - It was soundly rejected. I'll try again next week....

Just a suggestion... if you don't use your garage for HER car then you could fit another few bikes you know

Rookie move. Happy wife = happy life. I just need some friends to move back to Canada and regain their "extra" garage space.....then I could "help them out with that".....

Yikes...are ya trying to get the boys privledges taken away completely Andrea? You DO know how much snow Calgary gets right? I think that if I was in his place I'd be angling for a new snowmobile to go with my two bikes. Just a suggestion...

Been there done that, but a quad is much more useful to me at least. I started to work that angle but realized that I won't have enough time this year to really make us of it, so for now ill keep my old one and save the money.

Yeah I think the manufacturers finally realized that selling nothing but big cruisers and super sports had basically priced themselves out of the current US market. In Harley's case, their traditional buyers are starting to die off from old age, the exact same problem Cadillac had 10-15 years ago, caddy had to completely re-invent themselves and become competitive with the likes of BMW and Mercedes to attract younger buyers (which they have done an amazing job with). Harley needs to do the same, they need to attract younger buyers, many of whom may be new riders, so they need more than just the same 5 basic bikes they have sold for the last half century. Unlike the Japanese big 4 Harley can't relay on ATV/UTV/Dirt bike sales to be their primary source of profit.
The new Harley "street" series at least pull off the modern cruiser concept, unlike Honda's rolling identity crisis the CTX700 (which is a very comfy and practical bike, but really does suffer from an identity crisis).
