Honda CT70. My wife started on one. Wish I could find a restored one cheap as a surprise for her. Restored ones seem to cost $$$

I know I know but can I tell you, I bought my kid a tao tao quad with the honda 110cc knock off and it has been great no problems in 6 months (knock on head) except the original battery was crappy. I do all the recommended maintenance and it has been great!!!! I look at the Chinese motorcycles of today as the Japanese motorcycles of my youth, a cheaper alternative to an existing product. Yes they are not the greatest and you must be careful on your purchase and diligent in maintaining it but in the end you are usually happy with your purchase. However there are many views on this and in the end none are wrong it is ones own purchase.

I won't purchase one because I've had to work on them. I've seen them come with carbs that are gummed up from the factory, I've seen jets with no holes in them from the factory, I've seen motors blown up after 10 hours on a quad being ridden very gently, etc. Glad you've had good luck, but you're definitely in the minority.

I can understand your view for sure the Chinese have huge QC problems but replacement parts are very cheap and very abundent. I look at it like this if I spend $800 on a quad I would pay close to $3K on I am not so upset to put up to $500 into it.
