Well bummer to hear that, but at least you'll be happy with whatever you end up with! I vote you check out a CB919 or the Ninja 1000 if you can find one used.

Shhh. One does not simply buy an OMB. It's a journey of self discovery. You know the old "Wouldn't it be funny to sit on one of the- HOLY TOLEDO THIS IS COMFY!"

Which reminds me... Ever look under your GL1800 to see what I meant?

LOL, you guys are too funny!

Well, in Houston there (sadly) isn't much choice on the market outside of a cruiser (not many standards here or naked bikes sadly). But there are a few non-cruisers that do come up. Andrea and I did get to test ride on the weekend the new Moto Guzzi Stone V7 and that was a real blast to ride around town, in fact, even more fun to ride than any other bike I've ever been on around town which made me remember that I do love to shift, love WOT and push a bike 100%. So I'll see what's available in the 750-900cc range around here. After trying out the V7 I'm thinking I should go and take out the Bonneville SE (I've been meaning to anyways).

Does a V-Strom count as an OMB?

Sure, if a wrangler counts as a luxury car.

Oh no, I'm finding myself sinking quick on getting a V7 Moto Guzzi Stone... it's a complete heart over head thing and these videos are not helping. IT SOUNDS LIKE THIS and I do not care if it has only 50hp and I sorta look like a giant on it.

This is a Breva 750, but the same engine note.

I also posted a review about it yesterday, and that didn't help today:

Now the question would be, should I be looking at the Matt Black one or the Gloss White?

Image

I find myself drawn to the white one as it's a gloss finish and I do like a nice shine... then I could put on a Italian stripe, and.... oh god.

I am at the very early stage here if I really can commit to it, but what an idea!

Here you go, 6'4" and riding a Moto Guzzi V7, it's possible!
Look ma, a Giant!
