Pretty much any section of I-95 in Conn. I'd also like to comfirm that any parkways in & around NYC are not safe for bikes. If any of you need to drive a bike thru NYC do yourself a favor and take the Tappan Zee Bridge instead. Its well worth the detour.

Out in Southern Cali, we have the Ortega Mountain and Palomar Mountain that are supposed to be extremely dangerous for bikes.
Recently on Palomar Mountain, cagers have been seen intentionally riding bikers off the road.

IMHO, the worst road around is I-81 in Virginia. It runs from Bristol, VA North to Winchester, VA and was NOT designed for todays traffic. Two lanes of wall to wall 18 wheelers can make for white knuckle riding.

I find it funny how all of you say NYC is so bad.... I commute every day from queens to Manhattan and yes there bad, but I can't imagine them being so bad..... Considering I haven't ridden in 10 years and just started riding a couple of months back.... I don't find it that bad, yeh cabs suck but where don't they?

Hwy 129 between Chapleau and Thessalon (nothern ontario)
Only main high way Ive ever been on that had enough transport traffic to curl my hair...and one lane bridges..... and its ummm... in need of a road chiropractor to smooth out some of the huge bumps! and pot holes...and deteriorated black top...

I wanted to take that ride, but I heard the same thing from someone. He told me that locals will dump sand out the window to cause bikers to fall. What jerks.

All I have to say is Autobahn. Imagine 400 soccer moms all driving their Audi A6's at 170 to 200kph on a two lane road. Then for fun lets throw in some 1990's Seat and Peguot 1500cc 4 bangers trying to keep up.
On the streatch of A6 from Sarbruken to Manheim (in the middle is Kaiserslautern where the world cup of soccer is being held this year) is about 8 km of construction that constricts the lanes from 4 to one.

I think there are a lot of dangerous roads everywhere and many made more so by wackos behind the wheel. I was driving my Dodge Ram 350 Dually last Friday and passed a woman on the Interstate who was talking on her cell phone, smoking a cigarette, and had a map opened up on her steering wheel. All this at about 65 mph in traffic.
