only if he's not talking about bluejays and american house sparrows. i would dearly love to kill two american house sparrows with one stone.

naa, im not a smooth talker, i just pleaded enough for them to see common sence and eventualy they got so tired of hearing it that they listened. im actualy thinking her dad might need a bigger bike. he's not a overweght guy, just realy big, you know, tall and stuff. other than that, the situation fixed itself this morning when i opened my inbox and a letter from synth said:

"T-T dads not going to get the bikes till next spring! this totaly sucks. i would blame you, but you would have something stupidly annoyingly RIGHT to backhand me with

"

the rest of the email is kinda not related, but the reply is something shes going to kill me for.

"how very true! for example, your dads a smart guy! just think, all that candy in your garrage, and no way to touch it.... what were you going to do, hook a snow plow on your bike? hes saving both of your sanity!!! and possibly mine. i dont want to think about you ****ing and moaning about how you have these 'beutifull shiney new bikes and i dont have any way to use them for the next four months!" again and again... followed by, in some form or another "you were right, shuuuuuuuuulda listned to you..." you cant get the bike yet with winter here, so right now you should look into the gear."

shes going to try to castrait me, i just know it... *jaws theme plays*

I was going to suggest taking her for a ride and totally scaring the crap outta her, but it sounds like the issue has resolved.

i did direct her to this site, she glanced through, never posted anything, and turned her head. (most likely because the wisdome within these pages is not the ego bolstering blind reasurance she was looking for)

while her dad isnt helping, hes not hurting ether. hes saying that he will buy her any bike as long as her grades keep up. the problem lies in the fact that he said ANY bike.

so far, we have toned her down to a gsxr 600... but thats still too big for her. with a little more work, im hoping that she will see reason, though if she hasnt already.... the good news is that i can print out this page and hopefully make her see some reason. thanks for the input guys

Hottest girl I've ever seen on a bike was riding a ninja 250. And you can quote me on that.

Behind the helmet and under all the gear it can be tough to tell whether you are a guy or a girl. You gotta see the person standing next to the bike. And a real biker won't care what you're standing next to, so long as it's got 2 wheels and a motor that works.

My 93 750 Kat is pleeenty fast. And I was thinking of the 1100 'cause I needed the HP... The 750 has 106 HP and has All Of The Performance I Wanted or will probably need!

Come to think of it alot of bikes that are raced are in the 500-600cc range so why would some one need 1100cc's to ride around town?

O.k, I'm a women so this is comming from a womens point of view. My opinion and personal experience is that your 1st bike should be "small" used junkey bike you really don't care about. I started on a 250 god only knows what (it was really ugly). After getting comfortable with that I rode a 1200 yamaha virago. I didn't like the looks of the bike but I could handle the power. After about 5 months of learning on these bikes I went and bought a 2003 Honda Shadow VLX (not the most comfortablest).
So........purchasing a new bike as a very beginner, I would NOT suggest this. Even at the length of time I had my new bike if it was anything bigger (I'm 5'9")I would have dropped it a good 4 times.

Great to see you think your point of view is important, we do to. It is very individual though and a lot is down to having the right attitude.
