I love it!
man that was beautiful... three great shots tell a good story... the guy giving the cool hand... then struggling as the engine guards hit pavement with the front wheel being levered off the ground... and the leg up crash...
and all those wonderful sparks! chrome and iron.
CLASSICS!
shiiiite that's gonna hurt! feel sorry for the guy, but we gotta laugh at eachother a little -- live and learn.

well he was an idiot.
Cruiser riders, when faced with a tight turn, CAN lean off their bikes like a sport bike rider would, especially if they have floorboards. If he were leaning instead of "just sitting up straight" as most cruiser riders do, he probably would have made the turn.
I may look wierd hanging as far off my 750 pound VTX, but it lets me push the limit a lot more. I have ridden with other cruisers and sportbikers, and with leaning I was *almost able to keep up with some sport bikes. Not quite able, but worlds faster than the other cruiser guys, and I got a compliment or two from a ZX-9 rider because he didn't think a cruiser could keep up that well.
its all how you ride, unfortunately many to most cruiser riders just don't know how to fully push their vehicles...which is probably why they don't crash as often though...so its a double bladed sword.
Of course I came from a SV-1000 to my current 1800 VTX, so I had a sporty background in leaning before comin over to a cruiser, which I suspect many cruiser riders don't have.

Mintbread,."A perfect example of why cruisers should stick to straight roads and showrooms."
Hope you weren’t serious because, "poo poo" happens to Everyone, don't know if this guy is an accomplished rider or not but he could have made that turn no matter what he rode. Just depends on the rider and circumstances.
It doesn't matter what you ride! What matters is......
The life you lead to ride!!!!

Well....Most Harley riders I have met (thru my business) don't have a clue on their bikes limitations & most do not know how to (Corner at all)/ take a cruiser on the correct line.
When I'm riding my Ultra or Road King I take the racing line....out wide, cut thru ACCELERATE...Yahoo! Works for me
Hey High_Side....looks like he 'bailed' (out) to me! Can't say for sure though....wasn't there.
& the first thing I thought on seeing that pic with the front wheel locked was he grabbed too much front brake. I reckon he could've made the corner had he known what he was doing, but Alas......

i think the most important thing about this whole fiasco is that he looked cool.never mind the acre of skin ground off and the harley busted up.
