JWF,

i live in Mission Hills and the 118 east to 210 east freeway looks great for riding on early sundays. that's where i wanna ride when i feel like im ready for the freeways.

anyway, it can get pretty windy there and i feel it on my car so i can only imagine how bad it will be on a bike

i read some stuff about wind pressure from winds and passing vehicles. it says, to anticicpate the wind blast and the wind blast always comes after the vehicle has passed you already. i read that you have to lean the bike from where the wind is blowing.

have you ever had wind blast while riding in freeways? how do you handle it?

thanks

i live by the 210 and the 2. So ya ive actually riden where your talking about. It is a nice ride. As for the wind, well not to much you can do if its a massive gust, if you can eliminate how much of a "sail" you make, dont sit straight up, try to crouch down so the wind has a little less to blow against. keep your speed reasonable. easyer to lose your balance by a wind gust or even some gravel at 95 than it is a 65, so slow down so you can be in more control. I donno, thats what i do and ive never had much of a problem.
