You have absolutely no need for knee sliders whilst riding on the road. I lean my bike right over to the point of dragging my toes around corners, which is right on the edge of the tyres and I have miles between my knee and the ground.VermilionX wrote:oh yeah, before i get more aggressive... i'll buy some knee sliders 1st. just in case.![]()
i saw some knee sliders but they are all attached by velcro for pants that have velcro... is there one that can be wrapped around your knee for pants that doesn't originally have knee sliders?
Good idea. Anopthe good idea if you are concerned about your knees and want to protect them is to get the armour inserts for the Joe Rocket Jeans you've got.VermilionX wrote:i see, thanks.

If you ride a LOT of track days they might be worth it.
i have draggin jeans not joe jocket jeans. when i looked at their CE armor, it has velcro on it... my jeans doesn't have velcro on the knees, it only has kevlar.Kal wrote:Practise. Practise more. And practise again.
The only way to shoot corners is to do corners. Something I want you to do is take the corner as smoothly as you can, practise getting the bike round the corner on a line.
I don't want you thinking about the speed, I want you thinking about how well you take the corners. It's not the same thing by a long way. The better you take corners, the quicker (and safer) you will be through them though.

I shelled out the extra few pounds for the 'race' ones, no one but my knows so I don't look like a dork (well anymore than I usually do) and I have every confidence in them protecting my knees should I have another *ahem* unfortunate incident.

at 45º, won't pegs almost scrape at this angle?
is that you on the ninja sport bike?ZooTech wrote: Nuf said...
No. I got that pic from Killboy.com, the same place that took my pics.VermilionX wrote:is that you on the ninja sport bike?
Mine are stock, and the front had about 11k miles on it at the time (the rear was relatively new). Your tires are perfectly capable of those lean angles if warmed-up.VermilionX wrote:anyway, those are great but are those leans on stock tires?
