Bump bumpity bump bump.

I thought I'd take this opportunity to flash some updated pics of my FZ, now that a month's passed since I took possesion of her.

I've swapped out the stock can for a slightly lighter and better sounding can from an R1 that the sales manager threw in when I bought the bike. I've also swapped out the after market turnsignals for some plain-jane stock ones. After getting hit, I've become a fan of big-assed light sources, and the after market signals that came with it were too small, IMO. I've also swapped out the stock windscreen in favor of one with a different shape and a lip; this one puts the air up around my helmet... which will be nice come summer. I've also swapped out the tail lights for LED tail/brake lights (you can't see that part) and I've added 4 super-bright red LED lighted license plate bolts and a super-bright white LED light for the license plate light (which actually sits too far back to light up the plate, but the "Yamaha" is lighted quite nicely! ). I've mounted the Givi top case plate and rack, but I'm holding off on mounting the side case racks for when I actually have the side cases.

We'll start with the original pic...

And now a shot from the same side but with the mods...

And an upclose shot of the new can...

And the new screen...

And a shot from the left...

And when I got home from my ride today... I liked the lighting and the angle I was looking at my bike from... so I shot this pic.

It's pretty quiet, actually. It's a Yamaha can... but it's not a GYTR can. It's a little louder and throatier sounding than the stock one. The bike has a nice baritone rumble at idle. But it's still pretty quiet. It's just a little shorter, a lot prettier, a litltle louder, and a little lighter than the stock one.

No kiddin'. 'Better' sound is not the same as 'louder'. Stealth has it's advantages. :shifty:

Nice job. I really appreciate your comments on the turn signals. I see these guys putting smaller and smaller signals on their bikes. Yes, the big old signals don't look as cool, but they are supposed to be big to grab attention. Good move in my opinion. Also, I think those who say the stock signaling looks silly are exaggerating.

I'm silly. I am gonna drop the stockers on the back of the FJ and put some smaller shorties on there.
