Stettler's like... 20 minutes outside of Red Deer, not a bad place overall, very small. Mainstreet has crosswalks on it, hahahahahahahahaha.
Sorry, I had to say that.
Good news is inbound though, we've got highs advertised above freezing for the next week at least, and every night the lows get a little warmer if that makes any sense. More then 1/2 of the snow we got is now gone, and I'd honestly be out riding right now except for the fact that the melt runs across the roads during the day, then freezes solid at night.
I'm not overly scared of gravel, I've dealt with it before both on and offroad, but ice to me is a totally different matter.
Another week, 3 at the most BuzZz and we can "Fire it Up!"

Of course I'm generalizing from a single example here, but everyone does that. At least I do.

Ice is the devil. Trust me on this. Did i ever mention my MX boots can soften the blow of 230+ lbs falling on your ankle?Sevulturus wrote:I'm not overly scared of gravel, I've dealt with it before both on and offroad, but ice to me is a totally different matter.
Hoping by this weekend it'll be cleared up enough for another ride WITHOUT the ice. Just a lot of mud, oh yeah!

Okay, that settles it, I saw two bikes out on the way home from work today. I start at 11:00 tomorrow, now some of the twats at work were forcasting snow tomorrow, but I don't beleive em, it's been to nice. So if it's above 4 degrees when I need to leave for work I'm not taking the damn bus. I've been scouting the roads all week, and there are a couple of wet spots, but I Should be able to avoid them with relative ease.
I'm goin' bikin' damnit!
