F***** I got cut from the performance team because they thought I was faking my illness or something because I heard them say I'm unreliable. I called them ahead of time on Sunday to let them know, showed up anyway (late) just in case they really needed me instead of going back home to sleep.

We're promoting a movie and doing a performance for the premier and now I won't get any part of it. What the F* did I train so hard for?!

God is my enemy. This is one out of many opportunities lost because of something coming up.

Back to living my boring "O Ring" life...

Had an interesting drive home today, yeah drive....sigh, finally get the Connie back on Saturday...anyways, had a flock of sparrows fly right across the windshield of my Pathfinder while doing 120 KHP on Highway 99, nailed two of them which went sailing over the roof, watched one of them in my rear view mirror land squarely in the occupied front passenger seat of a convertible that was tailgating me. LOL. But judging from the sound of the impact the birds made hitting the windshield and the amount of blood, gore and feathers I had to wash off, I think had I been riding instead of driving, I would currently be in a world of hurt.

Then a few minutes later a black SUV comes roaring up behind me just as I was stuck behind some lady in an econobox cruising sedately down the fast lane at 80 KPH, I see a long gap between her and the other cars and nothing in the slow lane, so signal, overtake and get back in the fast lane...then bingo, the black SUV lights up his reds and blues and I think oh bugger, I just scored a ticket. Luckily it turned out he was on his way to a call of some sort and blew by me as I pulled back into the slow lane, getting ready to pull over and present my papers. Sort of cooled it a bit for the rest of the drive home.

Looking forward to the commute beginning next week, gonna be on two wheels again.
Always ask why.

I hit a bird on the FJ once Ceemes. Actually I hit lots of them, that thing is a feather magnet, but that crow was the only real traumatic one. I was pisswhistling down the hiway to work one day and some stupid crow come flying out of the ditch right across the road in front of me. I was doing 120MPH and he hit my helmet first and then down into my left shoulder. It hurt about the same as a good punch, but suicide bird split open and spread his innards all over my jacket. It was a freakin' mess. I was quite surprised by the amount of blood in your average crow when you pop it like a balloon.....

But the boss don't say much to you when you walk in late covered in blood and guts muttering to yourself.
No Witnesses.... :shifty:
