Today, along with my fire department, I trained with live fire in an "acquired structure training fire". It was so much fun. I'm sore and tired, but it's always worth the while for this sort of training. That took up most of my day.
Cheers,

uh I was 22 when I got married and have been married for almost 10 years now. NOTHING wrong with getting married at that age.

When you were 22 years old did you still play with cheap gas station knifes with bright red spiders on them?

Today I rode up north again. MO-45 was detour, then that road had a detour too. I made it to MO-116 and headed west. There was a line, outside the door, at the cafe I usually eat at so I pushed on. I stopped at Hooters and had a plate of wings. After that it was an uneventful ride home.

Highlight of my day was seeing a Lambo driving down Powers here in the Springs. Mom didn't think it was as impressive as I did apparently.

I changed the timing belts on the Hypermotard as Ducati calls for replacement every 15K or 2 years regardless of mileage, which really sounds crazy. The old belts looked and felt as good as new. It should be as it only had 5100 miles on it. I suppose at only $90 for the two belts, it's not worth taking a chance with an interference engine.

I was 19 and Dave (a.k.a., "Scan") was 21 when we made our marriage legal. And we had already been living together for two years at that time. Dave was (and still is!!) more immature that I, but we both had to do a lot of growing up together. We had to learn from our mistakes, but we've managed to know exactly what works for us, and we make a great team. It's been 25 years total, and we're still happily together. It's rare, I know, but it can work for some people. Just think of all the marriages that fail for people who waited until they were older...
It's obvious that you care about her though - that's very sweet. Just be there for her whether or not her marriage survives.
Cheers,

For some reason exotic cars driving around in NYC are pretty common. I guess the highlight was someone driving a Bugatti Veyron but other than that Ferraris, Lamborghinis, Bentlys and the like are too common. The question is: how is it that all these people have that kind of money?
