I really have no sympathy for people who do this. I do have sympathy for the people it hurts. He now has 4 children that will never get to grow up knowing/learning from him. He also has a truck driver that now has his death on the truck drivers mind for the rest of his life. he actually called family 30 min before hand to tell them he was gonna kill himself. Very sad and upsetting situation. .
I fully agree with you. What a selfish person. This is about as selfish of a thing as this person could have done.

Be careful about name calling - it's almost impossible to understand the kind of depression that causes many people to do this - but it's mental illness nonetheless, and we should be grateful we have ways and people to relieve our pain and burdens that these people don't.
I mourn both for the family and for the man who couldn't find a different way.

If he was a single guy with no dependents, he can do anything he wants. He brought 4 lives into this world. Four lives he is completely responsible for.
What if he had killed the innocent truck driver?

You can sympathize with these people all you want, it's still a very selfish act that deprives the survivors of any hope of closure...

Went for a ride to Penticton yesterday, with a small side trip to the Burrowing Owl Winery. On the way up the driveway, we passed a pretty unique group of cyclists...
Apparently it was a staggette for the one in the all scrunched up wedding dress ...

Spent a nice evening with the family. My cousin came home from Texas, everybody else came from all around GA, my son got to ride the ttr 90 all night, Julie felt mostly ok for a good while which allowed us to stay longer then usual. so all in all it was a good night. I got a good family.

So does this mean your son is gonna be future motocross star and bring in the cash?

Huh... I got lucky to have gotten off the highway before some idiot driving in the wrong direction (drunk) right before he mangled his mini van. Unfortunately he killed his passenger. The only reason I got off the exit before impact was because my bike was acting funny and I was busy looking for a gas station.
Then again... I'm sorta wishing I had collided with him both of us; him for driving drunk and me for other reasons. His friend didn't deserve his fate. At least it didn't involve the various other bikes I encountered on the road or the sedan with a family inside.

Baked, laundry, napped, cleaned the desk so I can see it again, played on the computer, gave a moment's thought about my motorcycle, watched the rain, listened to music and finally figured out how to get the pictures off my cell phone and onto my computer....and to top off my lazy day...a movie shortly...

Today I took the Buell in for it,s 6000 mile checkup. It was almost due, but I needed a rear tire. Everything was going good, they got all the service items out of the way, and the last thing they do is wash the bike. I'm finishing up the paperwork, and the guy who took the bike to wash it come up and pulls the tech aside and they have a sidebar. Seems the stator has given up the ghost. So I'm riding a '10 Heritage till it gets fixed.
