Besides all the reasons you've already pointed out, another reason you don't want to do this is dots=paint, paint=slippery. Particularly when you're cornering, the bike's leaned over a bit, drawing on the "traction bank".....

Just came across your blog today. WOW! I have a ton of respect and admire your courage and determination. Truely freaking amazing...
I cant even believe the first pictures, looking at your hand controls!!! Hell its hard enough to ride when you can do everything "normally". You really are an inspiration. Rock on girl!!!

I took my bike into the local shop last weekend to get a new set of tires put on, and when i pulled into the parking lot, I saw a Gixxer 1000 with extended swing arm and NOS and the exact same control setup that you have Shorts. First thought was "Holy Moly, Shorts is in VA drag racing on a GSXR 1000!!!!"

Hoping to see you inside and meet ya, i was kind of disappointed when you werent there. But, I found the owner of the bike and began talking to him about his setup. I told him about you and everything you had went through in getting your bike ready for you. He said it was really great to hear about another rider as himself and talked about "with the right mindset, anything is possible"

Just wanted to pass that along and to say keep up the great work, you still inspire us all.
