Was woken up by the wife with that auromatic smell of a coffee she placed on my computer desk. After I finished drinking that, I asked if anyone ate yet and was told no.

So I cooked eggs, bacon, pancakes and toast. Some fresh mango juice to wash it down with. As I started to deliver the food to the kiddies was told wife took the comforters and the bed linens to the laundry mat and won't be back for a couple hours. :( And there went my chance to earn some brownie points :frusty:

Oh, I don't know....making breakfast for the kiddies and staying home with them gives her a chance to have some peace and quiet (hum of machines aside).....you may still have a brownie point or two in there.

I loaned my car to someone for the afternoon, so I am home doing enforced confinement. I got dishes done, place tidied and caught up on emails.

I'll work on some photographs....sometimes having no vehicle at my disposal can be a good thing.
(The roads around my area are frosty so not safe for riding)

You will not believe how incredibly tender and flavourful the meat is when cooked this way - you may never grill one again.
I have converted many a people from dark turkey meat back to white turkey meat because of Deep frying a Turkey instead of cooking it in the oven. I wont cook a turkey in the oven ever again. So for I would say I have deep fried 30 turkeys in the 6 or 7 years I have been deep frying them. 45 minutes for a 13lb turkey :D. Makes the turkey SO juicy. Plus my doctor said I need to start cooking things in olive and peanut oil more often :D. So I would be willing to try baked steak :D.

For steak I usually use olive oil with montreal steak seasoning for my marinade and do the same thing you do with your fridge idea. Then I put it in the pan and cook it on the stove top (unless its warm enough for the gas grill or the fire pit which I love fire grilled steak).
