Trying to convince myself now it's warm enough to take a bike out. Roads are dry and clear of ice mostly..... kind of...... sorta.
I went riding today.

No woolen liners needed.

JC Viper wrote:Well, it's a new year and I've been waiting long enough. I'm going to contact the rally school I attended to rent a car for an upcoming Rally event and maybe I can start a little career going with it even though I'm 25 (everyone keeps saying I'm too old as the Pros have started in their teens with ACP and Tanner Foust being the exceptions).
I just hope I'm not in way over my head on this one. Who thinks I should just walk away? (yeah I'm expecting honesty).
25 is not old. If you have the talent that is what counts.

Exactly... I mean if thats the case I shouldnt have started my Electrical apprenticeship when I was 30 years old (I am now almost 32). I mean I had to go back to school for it and yes it does suck to go back to school but when I look at it there are usually only 1 or 2 out of 25 that are younger than I am in the class's I take.

JC- DO IT!
Hondagirl- Glad you're ok!
As for me... replaced upper and lower ball joints, replaced inner and outer tie rods, and replaced brake rotors and pads... Took 7.5 hours total, which isn't bad considering we didn't have a lift, didn't have air tools, and the flat-rate on the lower ball joints alone is 3 hours per side!

Hondagirl wrote:I skidded on black ice and had to call Red Baron which is a bike rescue service I belong to here because the brake lever was totally curled into an S shape and the engine had (temporarily) stopped. When they arrived I rode in the van and the bike was tied on the back........went to the workshop and they fixed the lever and I rode home. It was scary. Luckily the streetlights were on and 3 cars behind me stopped and waited while a school bus driver got out and helped me lift the Motard to the curb. I couldnt lift it as it was sliding and slipping all over and anyway horizontal on the road way too heavy!! Very lucky to get help and thank *** for the street lights so I could be seen. I had full armor gear on and Im fine. Sore back from trying to lift the bike and lots of self promises not to ride again after dark below zero

.
Hope your back is feeling better.

I had an appointment with the lawyer today to prepare me for mediation in a week. I was disappointed in what $$ he said I may get.
So...to assuage my angst....I bought some Cracker Jacks. The memory of them is better than the real thing. So...I switched to Haagen Dazs....It did not disappoint.
