yeah, he's a trouble maker like that...

Good to see your keeping updates on this stuff, it'll be cool to look back on. I'm just keeping a file of bills and marks lol. I'd start something of my own, but I don't think I'd be able to update it enough to make it worthwhile for everyone. You're doing good!

Back to the electrical board!

PS. For those that think I'm on crack, I'm Sev's friend and classmate, Josh. I do believe I was mentioned once or twice prior in this thread, but he doesn't take me out in public much. :D

Cheers Sev,
See ya in class tomorrow!

Yup, Endo is a classmate of mine. If anyone there here is going to be a better mechanic then myself it is going to be him. His attention to detail, knowledge and patience are unrivaled in the class.

Endo is rebuilding a Ninja600 that is so abused it makes you want to cry

Image
He scraped ALL this mud and dirt off his engine, and he hasn't even really tried to clean it yet

Image
He's had a little help putting it together...

Blind leading the blind?

My other good friend "D" is... well a fitness freak, and a vegan to boot. But I don't hold it against him (much). I'm constantly amazed at how quickly he works, and how well done the work is. I'm lucky to have friends like these guys who will lend a hand when I need a little help.

You guys do CSI work on the side?? Man, talk about mad skilz yo'

I find it incredible the patience yall must have to undertake a completely big project like you're working on. I see your pics and I'd love to do that. But I'm wondering if my OCD task orientation would burn me out. My patience isn't always the best, but I feel I want to hurry to get the job done. I don't know why?? When I have a project, I don't sleep. I close my eyes but my brain doesn't rest. It keeps spinning away and I don't rest. Thinking about parts and measurements and whatnot. The roughest time I had was when I built my own Colt .45. I didn't sleep for several weeks.

PS, that is the coolest coolant (pun intended) resevior ever! Holy jolt cola bottle batman!

As posted prviously Endo is working on his own bike a soon to be stunter based on a Kawi 600 with an R6 rear end (seen above). Anyways, we hadn't been in the shop for over a week (started electrical), we got back in on Tuesday. And when we got there we found an interesting dent on Endo's tank... that wasn't there when we left Friday.

Image
As you can see it is characterised by 2 small indents indicating that it was either hit twice, or with an object that has two points on the end. We asked around to see if anyone had seen anything... no one had. Talked to Dan and Brad (instructors), but no one (should) have been in the shop.

Endo is planning on sanding down and custom painting the tank (which actually has several dents in it already from a previous owner) so he was not too too upset. We basically let it go and went about our business.

Towards the end of the day I was talking with Endo near his bike when one of our classmates came over and got a little lippy (translation he stood there quietly). I picked up the nearest large blunt object to threaten him with... which just happened to be the jack arm for the jack under Endo's bike. And made the appropriate threaten movement. When something caught my attention.

Image
The end of the jack arm is notched... and the notches line up exactly with the dent in his tank. Now, we don't know who did it, but we know how it was done.

Image
Brad (instructor) mentioned that he was going to have the tank removed and that dent filled in at cost to the school, something about making a point. It'd be really cool if it happened, but not really that important I suppose. I'd much rather find out what fuckwad put the dent in there in the first place.

by the way...check out my super cool coolant bottle I made today (This sentence brought to you by the Department of Redundancy Department). Good ol' Jolt Cola baby!

AND, I also have to point out, my bike is painted with matte black chalkboard paint...hence the writing. It's gone now lol. But I keep getting odd messages from classmates.

Apparently Endo loves some very odd things...

at least according to the writing on his bike.

It's a standing rule that you don't leave your toolbox open when you leave for lunch, a break, or after class. You get a single (one) warning. After which sticky fingers show up.

Last Tuesday Justin forgot to close his toolbox for the second time. There are a variety of opinions about the guy, but generally speaking he is tolerated. So it came as no surprise that some members of the class offered to help with the looting... I took pictars!!!!

Based on the first pic, only the top was open? So you opened further drawers to steal more tools...if the rule had any basis it would only apply to those drawers that were left open. Otherwise its breaking and entering! You thieves you!
