Just outta curiousity, what was this 17 year old car you had, and how many miles did it have? Sounds like it held up pretty well- lots of cars get junked after 17 years, not sold to new owners.blues2cruise wrote:I said good bye to an old friend.....my old car....it went to its new home tonight.

I didn't say anything of the sort!!! But a 17 year old car is a 1994, and you gotta admit, a lot of '94s have gone to the junkyard by now. I'm driving around in a '00 Passat, and it isn't getting replaced anytime soon (hopefully). 171K miles and counting.ofblong wrote:jstark47 wrote:Just outta curiousity, what was this 17 year old car you had, and how many miles did it have? so your saying my truck is gonna get junked in a couple years (13 years old) and my motorcycle is also gonna get junked in a couple years (15 years old) and that my van has 7 years to go (10 years old)? Course the only vehicle I have had since it was brand spankin new (bought it with 9 miles on it) was the van.
ok just making sure.... I know I will get more for my van when I go to sell it just because of the fact it has only had 1 owner (me).jstark47 wrote:I didn't say anything of the sort!!! Most I ever had on a car was 226K miles on a '83 Rabbit. My wife made me get rid of that one, she said it was Ugly.
It is a 1994 Ford Tempo with about 175,000km. (approx 108,700miles). Yes, I took care of it and fixed things as needed. It had regular oil changes and fluids kept topped up.jstark47 wrote:Just outta curiousity, what was this 17 year old car you had, and how many miles did it have? So, are you going to work on getting links to open in a new window as well????totalmotorcycle wrote:Was working on the main site template to add the new "Model Timeline Guide".
I have so many things on my to-do list that I honestly forgot about that for the forums. Let me see what I can find out today about it.dr_bar wrote:So, are you going to work on getting links to open in a new window as well????totalmotorcycle wrote:Was working on the main site template to add the new "Model Timeline Guide".
