I put up the first 2012 Victory, the 2012 Victory High-Ball. Looks like Victory is also starting the 2012 model introduction trend as well.

Stripped down. Bare bones. A bold throwback. The 2012 Victory High-Ball rumbles down the road in the spirit of the classic bobber with an outright refusal to sacrifice performance along the way. Built piece by piece around the road-pounding 106 Freedom V-Twin, it’s a ride with all the power and agility you’d expect from a Victory. If you’re a pure rider with a passion for old-school styling, this is the bike you fire up for the first time and never look back.

Found out today that one of our local dealers, Apex Sports, is the 7th oldest Honda dealer in the country. They've been around for longer, but they've been selling Hondas for 50 years as of 2011.

I remember those early '60s ads, "You meet the nicest people on a Honda."

Turned the target market for motorcycles on it's head...

Finished working on my brothers Subaru. New catalytic converter, new rotors and pads on the back and WRX rotors and pads on the front. Put on the new Impreza fog light covers and the mud flaps will be coming soon.

Went and bought some extra exhaust pipe. My truck has 3 catalytic converters, and one very strangely designed intake, so I'm doing an "offroad/race only" third cat delete (won't throw any codes), and a custom built cold air intake on it. Then using part of my refund to buy a programmer. That way I'll be able to run more power, a little better sound, and better fuel efficiency all without throwing any codes or doing anything major.

I recieved some very disheartening news today - too personal to share - except to say it cuts to the core of what I used to love about motorcycling when I was young, hopeful and naive about the true nature of people - the belief that we were working together with honesty and integrity while sharing a great passion and all the while growing together. That was this sport of motorcycling with it's many ways to enjoy two wheels.

It has left me gutted that the motorcycling community is just as littered with human frailty and vice as the rest of our culture. The "trust" and "camaraderie" has more to do with money and selfishness than any good hearted personal endeavour could be.

Motorcycling's very core now feels so much more a business of industry ---the vice which has befallen many great pursuits--- rather than a way to bring people together in a seeking and sharing of freedom and expression.

Even in the face of purely good intentions people can be branded and pegged as something more familiar to the industry - all simple square pegs to be kept at a distance feeding money to a demi-god or beast of imagination. Something completely of our own personal doing and yet completely unlike who any of us really are at heart.

spent the last 2 weeks working on my kitchen. Ugh lifting up a roof and reinforcing it because the idiots who built an addon to the house didnt reinforce it originally. Lifted the roof 2 and a half inches and then reinforced it with 2x6's and lots o nails. So either way after lots of lathe n plaster then 3/4" side boards plus removing a drop ceiling and more lathe and plaster gave me an extra 3" all the way around the room (1.5" per wall) and an extra almost 10" of ceiling height. So far drywall is up and mudded today. Letting that dry and then the next coat of mud will go on. Pictures will come as soon as I am done. Oh and I updated all the electric in the room. Found one of the lights still had the old knob and Tube wiring so had to remove all that and then had to figure out how to string new wire to 2 of my other rooms that were finished but were running off that same knob and tube line. Took me 2 hours but got a new line ran. Since I am redoing the kitchen I ran a new circuit for an under cabinet microwave that will hang above the stove, an under cabinet dishwasher, and a garbage disposal. Of course my friend and I got all the drywall up before I realized I forgot to add a switch for the garbage disposal so I had to take one of the old install box's and put that in then fish the wire up the wall to the new box. grr why didnt I remember I had to do that BEFORE we finished the drywall? So now I am about to take a shower and go drink cause im exhausted from working and I feel dirty. oh and I will post pics when I feel that I am willing to do so.

QuietMonkey, just because there are a few bad apples doesnt mean we all are. Heck my friend is helping me with my kitchen project at no cost to me (other than material costs). Then again I have done a lot of electrical work for him and his father-in-law (they couldnt figure out how to wire some 3 way switch's) at no cost to them other than material.
