Friends can be, funny, like that. I've offended some of my friends when I reference my best friend. Sure we hang out constantly and have been pretty much inseparable since kindergarten... but you know, they are not the ones I would call if I really needed something.

Just give it time, you have to be confident the right friends will come along. If you stress too much about it, you will miss them!

Rode into work today. Stopped by Umbria (downtown Seattle) for a cup of joe with a friend. Love riding a bike in downtown - parking is always a breeze :)

Took my first ride of the year to-day. Made my first emergency stop for deer about 5min after starting the ride! Came around a curve and there was a deer who had just walked across, standing on the shoulder, looking over its shoulder at a deer on my side of the road about to step out in front of me. I quickly stopped (brakes work, yahoo!) and we looked at each other, each deciding what to do next. I opted for safety and waited. The deer then crossed the road at a dignified pace. As sure as God made little green apples, if I had kept going, the beast would have stepped in front of me. However now that the road was clear and I had successfully made a quasy emergency stop, I could now proceed. Of course I stalled the pike and duck walked to the shoulder to let traffic behind get by. Since I was stopped, I thought I might as well get a shot or two of the other deer standing in the area. I think the way they were staring at me, that they were miffed at me spoiling their lunch break.

I worked on the 99 Concours. I tighten up the steering bearings, and worked on the fairing. That's two mounts and a crack I've fixed so far. I looked at what it will take to relocate the radiator overflow tank from the nose of the fairing to behind the right side cover. I have an overflow tank from a ZRX 1100 and it fits behind the cover. I'll have to make some mounting tabs and weld them on.

well I have had a hell week. Wife was in an accident Monday (she is fine) because some douche bag couldnt wait in the turning lane for her to pass (had someone been in that sunfires passenger side they probably would have been dead). So now I put the van on craigslist as parting out because well there is no point in fixing it as the time and part cost would be more than the vehicle is worth. Then Tues I picked up my take home final for class and now today I think im gonna start taking small things off the van and posting them on ebay (things like control knobs).

I finished the 6th Edition of the Total Motorcycle Biker's Dictionary.

Amazing to think it's been around for so many years and keeps growing.
