Turned 51 today and celebrated by trying to remove the Vista Home Security 2011 virus from my computer. In the end, I had to use the restore function and set my computer back a few days to get rid of it. Neither Avast nor Spyware Doctor could find the sodding file to kill it.

hee heee... Microsoft wishes you a Happy Birthday. Upgrading to Windows 7 is a pretty nice option, but still being part of the majority of users by running microsoft product always puts you in that target market for more viruses per minute. For anti-virus on Win 7 I'd say Kaspersky is the way to go, for sure.

I like using Linux, but it's not for everyone, due to the learning curve... but to me Linux as a desktop operating system has freedom to play and learn... it's a little more like a Triumph Speed Triple (or a Norton single depending on what you want it to be), while Windows is a Japanese inline-4, and Mac's are like a Ducati Monster (the liquid cooled ones though -- not as pretty as people think). But with Linux you gotta get to know your worker buddies at the factory and bring your own tools sometimes too. But the garage is open and there's lots of performance to be had in any engine configuration.

Eeeeeeeeeeeekk. Just ordered a summer bike jacket online..and its not my birthday..happy birthday Ceemes! It was kind of an impulsive buy but such a steal -$29.99!- and I only have my winter leather jacket so I think need it. This one, and this color:

I bought the same jacket back in '04 at the Honda dealer where I got my CBR for $139. The mesh jacket was kind of the latest and greatest thing back then and they only took $10 off.

It's my 40th birthday today.

Birthday dinner was steak (medium rare sirloin), huge baked potato and veggies and of course, a rare Rolling Rock beer.
