Pashnit is also on the other forum I frequent (hayabusa.org), he does my kind of riding. I'm the kind that likes to go exploring, to places I've never been. Yes, living in Florida I get caught in the rain a lot. Actually, I'll dig up a clip I took while riding in the rain. It should be fun.skoebl wrote:You also happen to ride a bike that is commonly (read: incorrectly) placed in teh same light as n00blets who are just out to get a cool bike. Props for going against the "grain" and actually riding that busa (also props 'cause I know I wouldn't be able to handle itRelsek wrote:Does this mean that if we don't ride a naked/standard, that we are posers. Oh well, at least I have a nice bike to pose with. (yes I ride it too, it didn't get 12,000 miles on it by going back and forth to the poser nights.)
On that note, Tim (the guy who runs the Pashnit road map site), rides a 'busa, and has put 10s of thousands of miles on it riding every road in the west. So to say that someone riding a faired (is that even a word?) bike is a poser is, as already noted, a pretty close-minded opinion.
I don't guess that's in Km/h?Here it is, yes, a Hayabusa has been riden in the rain
he's from florida, so it's safe to assume it's mph.Shiv wrote: I don't guess that's in Km/h?
95 mph? In the rain? Bolder man than I. I wouldn't even think about doing that in my cage.
That's how people down here (So-Cal) drive though....I came from just south of the Oregon border, we got 180 inches of rain a year. San Diego gets about 10 in/year....and yet, these people think they know how to drive in the wet....I guess I just have to stay out of their way and hope nature takes its course....VermilionX wrote:
i've ran hard in the rain, i was thinking if i ride fast enough i can outrun the rain or make the drops evaporate before it hits me.
of course, it was on a long stretch in the freeway and not on corners.
PS. i was kidding on my 1st comment about outrunning the rain and making it evaporate but i have ridden hard in the rain.
i have a lot of experience in driving in hard rain. since we came from the philippines and over there we only get 2 seasons... sunny season and rainy season. we get a lot of typhoons in the rainy season.skoebl wrote: That's how people down here (So-Cal) drive though....I came from just south of the Oregon border, we got 180 inches of rain a year. If a girl wants a guy because he can stunt she should have her you-know-what sewn up until she gets her values straight...earwig wrote:All I can do is shake my head... why does everything have to do with pencil compesation around here anyway? haha... If yer single you should do whatever you can to impress chicks in my opinion) If a girl wants a guy that can stunt... good for him
what do you use to pick up chicks? I can tell it's not your charm.

It's the fact that the stunting is done on public roads or to impress chicks that annoys me, not the concept itself.
If I were at the track I'd probably pull a few stupid stunts for the fun of it, but this pencil-compensation thing is what I find so irritating.
Anyway, in my experience, the nakeds have a more relaxed riding position than the full-fledged racing bikes.
