Awesome, the only shotgun I've shot was my dad's old break-away, and it was I think a 16g.

single shot 16 Gua... thatd still be a bit of a recoil.

I still remember the first time I shot my 30.06 rifle. I had a scope on it, and my previous gun (8mm Mauser) hadnt, just a peep sight. I made the error of having my eye fairly close to the scope when I pulled the trigger, lets say after the shiner went away, I never held my head that close again. mistakes happen, but LEARN from them, and from others whom have MADE them.

High powered rifles are yummy to shoot though.....

HAHAHAAH, oh man, i did the same thing, i had my eye against the scope, and that was dumb, it was a 30-30 but still a good ammount of kick. High powered rifles are nice, i like my SKS, its fun. I gotta pump 30.06 and thats pretty sick.

I don't have much experience with rifles, just that previously mentioned shotgun, and my grandfather's .22.

Most of my experience is with pistols. I love the accuracy of 9mm, especially my step-dad's old Taurus (sp?) from when he was a detective long ago. But I love the punch of a revolver, like a .38 special. My friend's (the one with the .357) dad (the one with the unidentifiable Honda) has a really nice .22 ruger, with a scope, that is the most accurate gun I've ever shot. I could hit dead center on the target from like 45 yards I think (as far back as you could put the target on that indoor range).

There are reasons that I am not allowed a 'real' gun.... and the firing range in Orlando is just one of them

357s got nothing on the 44 magnum I shot. After shooting all six, you literally can't shoot any more because your hand is so sore.

But the worst was a lever action 30-30, which had a metal buttplate. After fifteen through that, my shoulder was sore for the next few days.

Oh yeah, and this thread is now COMPLETELY pointless.

I saw a .50 revolver, I think it was Smith & Wesson, at a gun show a couple months ago, that thing was insanely huge.

And don't worry, this thread was completely pointless to begin with.
