All sport bikes look the same. All cruisers look the same. All dirtbikes look the same. I personally think standards are the only onces that really change things up. Put a funky headlight on a sporty, who notices? No one, all that plastic around it! Put it on a standard, "HEY! It looks like Johny 5!". Though i think the award for most unique looking bike goes to *gasp* Buell.

To the average person, all sportbikes do look the same and couldn't tell the difference between a Suzuki and a Honda, much less a GSX-R 1000 from a CBR-1000RR.

Haha, to quote a friends mom (who has been around different bikes for 4 years now) while looking at Karatechick's bike. "Why did you get a crotch rocket?"

hah! Those ZZR-250's really DO look the part though. Not quite as "crotch rocket" looking as it's 600cc sibling, but still agressive looking enough that your average person would never guess it was a 250.

THREADJACK: How are the ergos on the ZZR-250 compared to the EX250?

zzr and ex500 are pretty similar. I've never sat the ex250.

to the non rider there are 2 kinds of bikes. Harleys and crotch rockets.

my bandit which is a standard is mistaken for a "crotch rocket" all the time.

at 50 feet 99% of non riders are going to automatically assume that a metric cruiser is a harley

How are you going to resell that bike with those stickers on it ? The buyer doesn't care about the symbols for sky or heaven in Japanese.

He's not going to resell it... insurance company is going to total it. Hope that's not too harsh but it's probably true.

And... just 'cause...

"You're into motorcycles?"

Those stickers come off with 2 minutes worth of work to peel them away, and 3-5 minutes with a LOW-grade weak "O Ring" solvent to remove any little bits of glue left over. My first bike had a huge dragon across the tank, and I peeled it off before I sold it, was impossible to tell that it used to be there.

Do you think Verm has the ability to remove the stickers himself ?

of course not, but after 3 threads discussing their removal, then having his mechanic do it, all will be well.
