I have Alpinestars Recon boots...they lace up, and I double the knot...they also have a very wide velcro flap that covers the laces.

I recently saw a new flipflop that had no straps, they just stuck on to the bottom of your feet. That would be ideal gear for hot weather.

All the time here in Texas I see guys riding in sneakers, shorts, and sleeveless shirts... while wearing a helmet. :frusty: That's great! Your head won't get squished. Now about those skin grafts...
I think the same thing about boneheads that wear a t-shirt and gloves! Apart from looking ridiculous I fail to understand why they bother at all.
Then again I suppose they will still be able to change their dressings and wipe their own arses after kissing the bitumen.

I wear all gear all the time. However, In a hurry to catch the world cup soccer game on the tele I took an early lunch break (10AM) . I put on all the gear, but forgot to put on my riding boots :frusty: . I had my work leather shoes on. I realized it after a couple of blocks. It was a very very uncomfortable feeling, especially at higher speeds. So, I went back to get my boots. I lost the first 15 mins, But I think it was worth it.
