Hi all.
I also hung up the helmet and sold all my bikes once I got married and started raising our sons, the two youngest boys are five and eight now and the oldest will be 20 this summer. My sister and a buddy, who both ride, managed to talk me into going to the bike show last year and I think that was the slippery slope. The dealers stock of 06 bikes had been sold, and I had no luck finding a Softail Standard. Wait for the 07’s I told myself, and I’m glad I did. My bike delivered on Sept 25th and I managed to get a month riding in before I had to park it.

Hi all,
I'm Jim, I ride a '97 Fat Boy. stretched tanks, Screamin Chickin' exhaust, and custom paint. This is my 4th Harley, and my 10th bike overall. I started riding Brit bikes in the 70's in Germany (while in the Army) Gotta love the Autobahn.
I love bikes, all types, my next will be a custom build, I've already designed it in my mind, now my checkbook needs to get on board. I own a custom paint shop that specializes in motorcycles, so I obviously enjoy my work, I get to play with, and talk bikes everyday. Only in America! (and some parts of Canada) check out my site www.beyondthepaintinc.com

Thanks for putting up a brand specific user group. There are some great looking bikes posted already.

My venture into the land of the Milwaukee Vibrator comes from a different angle. Thirty years ago I used to race AMA Class C Sportsman class (dirt track oval and TT). I had Bultaco's and a 750 BSA twin in a Trackmaster frame. Then, as now, the guys racing Expert Class and the Pros were heavy into the XR-750, an absolutely beautiful bike IMO. I could never afford one and definately could not have ridden at the Expert level.

Babies in the house and the need to stay healthy and gainfully employed meant that the racing days were over. Time passed. A little over a year ago I saw a bike for sale that made my blood pump faster. This is a one-of-ten street tracker made by Bartel's in Marina Del Rey. It was done in 1994 and has a 1200 Sportster shoe-horned into a Champion frame. Buell inverted forks, WB gas shocks, Supertrapp exhaust, XR tank and glass. Weighs about 425 pounds. It had only 3400 miles on it when I bought it.

There have been a lot of street trackers made. Mert Lawill markets one. Storz has a nice one. HD introduced a new prototype in a European show late last year. Remember, they also tried a streetable version with the XLCR. I would really like to know what happened to the other nine bikes like this that they made. Someone told me that Bartel's still owns one but I have not been able to confirm that.

At 60 years of age, my days of competition are long gone but I really like the look of this bike. I haven't ridden a street bike since those days in the early 1970's but I managed to put 3K miles on this bike in the last year. I'm really enjoying being back on two wheels.

Hi all
I currently ride an 07 Screamin Eagle Ultra, traded up from a 95 Ultra. I have ridden since the 70s Starting with Kawasaki and a wide variety in between. About 5 years ago the Mrs decided after riding with me all these years she wanted to ride her own so I also have access to an 1150 Beemer (might be a 800 Beemer shortly) When we do any serious travel she still rides with me and if I want to pretend I'm young again I steal hers and do the twisties. I was trying to kill some time while snow is covering the ground and searched for motorcycle forums. Thats how I ended up here. I spend most of my time on HD forums but am getting caught up with my reading so I'm bouncin between here and there now. :D
