Guy at work pulled up on his bike this morning with one of these kits on. It looked very nice but its blue and well blue or red means you have a 9hundred gazillion chance of being pulled over by a cop.spinner wrote:First of all, apologies for bumping this thread... I must correct myself. Motorcycles ARE allowed to have color accenting in NY. I went to biker night at a local bar where a few cruisers and a sport bike were showing off their effects. They told me that the police have never given them trouble about it. Figuring their advice wasn't good enough for me, I asked a police officer (who was patroling the area and stopped by to make sure the crowd was behaving... hey there was beer and a live band). The cop said he never heard of any law against that, but he recommended against getting anything that would flash.
Satisfied with the response from Binghamton's finest I bought and installed one of these: http://www.bikerhiway.com/index.php?mai ... ucts_id=38
Great company by the way. My package arrived in 2 days. After that I rode to see snakes on a motherf#$%#@ plane tonight and while I was at a light, a sheriff pulled up next to me and he couldn't care less... and then another squad car on the way home who went along on his merry way. Anyway, I'll post pics sometime this weekend.
