We usually put in just below the Canyon Dam, and that water is as cold as death in August. The top cooks and the bottom freezes. Sure, I'll take you to Gruene Hall - If you let me lead.
Or, we could probably find a couple of those friendly Texas ladies who would let us step on their toes. 
It's a long way Blues. It's 2500 miles from Seattle to Houston. I'd have to trailer the bike up there, and I ride a cruiser. Of course, you have more experience than me so you could probably do it. There's some awesome country between here and there. I do plan on taking a trip this Spring, probably to Colorado. I was up there in Sept., around Colorado Springs, and I had the bike itch then. I was looking at every road I drove, thinking how it would be on a bike. I can't wait to ride some of them the right way.
On an unrelated note, it's been cold and rainy here for two weeks. I know that's nothing to you cold climate riders, but here it's torture. All my biker buddies are ready to .......
