My pet peeve is with people who say "interact" instead of "Interac" when talking about bank machines and electronic debit payments. On one occasion at a restaurant the waitress delivered my bill and then asked if I wanted to "interact". I told her no, thanks, I was already with someone - I just wanted to pay the bill and leave. Went right over her head.

Oops, sorry. Interac is what the online debit card system is called here. In the US I think it's called the Cirrus network...?

It's just an ATM or cash machine. Or another way for the bank to take take your money for doing nothing. Why is free for me to walk in and tie up a teller for an hour (who gets paid much more than it costs to run an ATM) but it costs me money to use a machine that operates for next to nothing and takes only a minute or so of my time?

I hate banks and thier Holier-than-thou money grabs.....

Another common improper use of grammar is "your" and "you're".
So many people write "your" instead of "you're". Why? Is it just laziness or do people really not know the difference?

That's not usually as bad as 'Their' 'There' and 'They're' though. :)
