I suspect it would depend on the position of the bird at time of impact. If the bugger is low enough, sure...

I was envisioning one that had just taken off though... one about 5 feet in the air... y'know: Bird-in-face height.

Well, if you seriously get hit square in the face by a 20+ pound turkey at any real speed I think the only people picking you up will likely be the coroner.

I was just saying have a little faith. Assuming your head doesn't get torn off by the bird, dog, etc and it plants itself into the front of the bike you're not for sure screwed.
