I just saw a news wire report:

TROY, Mich. (AP) - Auto-parts maker Delphi Corp. said Wednesday it has secured a contract to supply anti-lock braking systems for two Harley-Davidson Inc. motorcycle lines.

The braking systems will be available on Harley's Touring and VRSC bikes beginning with the 2008 model year.

I knew something like this would be the situation. There are not many motorcycle or auto manufactures that build their own electronics.

Hey all,

I inspected the 2008's with ABS closely today. They do have independent ABS for the front and rear. The front control box is in front under the tank and the rear is under one of the side covers. Evidently the new Delphi control unit is small enough that they did not have to put it in a saddle bag.

Looked like a pretty clean set up. They were doing demo rides, but I could not stay for them. I talked to a guy that rode one with ABS and he said it was pretty slick. He tried to lock it up in some gravel and it would not do so - just came to a smooth stop.

Can't wait until mine shows up.

Hey Mike,
I have not seen the Pacific Blue Pearl out in the sunlight, but it looks like a color that the sun will really pop.

Do you have to squint to look at yours when it is a sunny day?
