Some people here are rude, period. They may not be trying to be rude, but it comes across as such. If you're sick of responding to the nubbin posts, just don't respond. No one is forcing you to give advice, and the person receiving it is least likely to accept yours anyway since it comes off aholish.

I didn't hear about this bit. I've never really understood why some of this slow-speed stuff was ever included in the test in the first place. I cannot see how being able to do a U-turn or a figure of eight, for instance, is going to make you into a safer biker. Could be wrong, but I just can't see it. It's a useful skill to have but that's not what the test is all about (is it???).
What I can see is that it might fail more nervous riders who take longer to master this stuff. But nervous riders are not necessarily bad riders, any more than confident ones are necessarily good. Not sure where this is all going.
BTW How the hell are you? Don't see you around on the boards so much these days.

No one forcing me...
...except my own sense of responsibilty. I'm not yet jaded enough to sit back and watch bad things happen. Especially if I could possibly change things.

I've been away six months this, and not having the money to run my bike meant I really didn't want to talk about it.
You missed Keyoke's stag at the Bulldog, and his Wedding to Miss_C667
XJR_John, Dukan, Nibblet99 and Keyoke all looked good in skirts.
Miss_C667 looked fantastic in a Red and Cream Lord of the Rings number.
There was much beer and Blades... (at both the wedding and the Stag)

I am a newbie, have my MSP course scheduled for Sept. I plan on getting a vstar classic over the winter months. buy what ever bike ya want, at the end of the day, if ya cant control it, its your body on line, not mine
But if someone is going to get on here and ask, "is a GSX 1300R" a good first bike, then Ill be the first to inform them that they are taking up to much space on this earth and would it be possible that I string them up upside down, naked, while I throw stones at them until they get a clue.

They were rather good fun... I'm assuming everyone's doing bulldog next year too, now.

Hi Kal, Good to see you back anyway. What's the sit. with your bike now? You still off the road? Bad luck if you are. I may well be up your way next month. I'll give you a shout if I do decide to come.
Sounds like the Bulldog was interesting for more reasons than one this year (missed it this time). No wonder Nibblers decided to move down this end of the world.
Hey Nibblet, how you settling into Luton? When you going to get over the county border and experience civilisation again?

Finally had a break this weekend, been up to Nottingham most till now
Not doing a lot of "leisure time" riding at the moment, tyres on the bike need replacing, so just trying to do work and other necessary trips at the moment. But I definately need to head over your way very soon, for a ride out. Just hope I can get new tyres before then - current ones lose traction everywhere, not sure I like having the back end of the bike sliding out on the straights

Sometimes 'a little rough' is used to let you know that riding on two wheels isn't a game. You can get killed out there and a lot of 'children' have.
I haven't made it to 64 doing wheelies and racing from point "A" to point "B".
Riding motorcycles on the street is for grownups.
