Gloves then helmet. Perhaps a sweatshirt if it is cool but that isn't often here in CA.

I was out hunting this weekend, and at 4 AM my dad heard a coyote messing around with my elk that was hanging outside. In a flash I was out there in (just) my boxers with a .40 caliber pistol looking for it while having a floodlight reflecting off of my pasty white self... lol Adrenaline does NOT let you feel 20 degree temps btw. Wonderful stuff!
