You should find the numbers for the amount of particulates released verses GNP and you will find the US one of the lowest. After all all our manufacturing jobs have been moved out of the country.

You have a couple of good points, but you also seem to have some of the "It's all Americas fault" thing going on. And if you want to worry about who might blow the world up just look to your northwest.

johnj, for the most part i think you did a good job. i just want to throw something out there. a lie is a lie when you know something to be a fact and purposefully say something other than what you know to be fact.

it is constantly brought up that the previous administration (bush) lied about WMD. for it to be a lie would mean that they/he knew there were no WMD and told the world there was. that's possible. but that means that the world was in on the lie. the UN had 17 such instances of telling saddam to get rid of his WMD. the administration before (clinton) the previous one said multiple times that saddam had them and that he was a threat. all of the worlds major governments are on record saying that they thought he had them. and this is before bush was in office.

so, if it was a lie, it was a world wide lie. and if our country was the only one that lied... well we're pretty darn good at it to get the whole world to either believe it (or go along with it). and if it's actually bush that was the liar then i wonder how he got up with the former administration to get them to say it years before bush was ever elected. dang... and everyone says he's stupid. sounds like a pure genius to me.

Heck, if we're going political, this seems like an excellent opportunity to again pump my book (which addresses these issues and is supposed to pay for my motorcycle if the danged publisher ever gets around to giving me my royalties).

can your book be bought in a b&n or does it have to be bought somewhere online? i might check it out to help support a tmw-er. just give me an up front hint - does it lean to the left or the right? and don't give me that there's no bias. we all have a starting point and it determines our ending point. it's just nice to know going in.
