So I bet you wondered where I went. Or maybe not. But I'll tell you anyways!
For those who have not travelled to the sunny south during summer time, the best word to describe it is sticky. I don't mind the heat but its the humidity that kills. I hit the point where it was just too uncomfortable to ride. Think disgustingly hot and sweaty, with sun beating down, engine heat blasting up, and riding in the exhaust with all my fellow commuters. Not fun!
But the bike came back out about a month ago and the commuting has been going mostly well. Only one near miss thus far - unfortunately the closest i have ever come to an accident. Scary stuff.
I still love my bike and am very happy to have chosen it!
