LOL I meant that I was thinking of shipping it up there if I came for a visit.

My wife is from Dallas and loved our trip to Vancouver. We are hoping to get back "home" to Halifax this june and shipping/riding the bike in my home province is *awfully* tempting.....

Aaaahhhhh. You could always find out what a rental would cost. If you only plan to ride a few times, it might be worth while to rent.

Generally about $100-$150/day, depending on the kind of bike.

I don't even know if you can rent bikes here. Well I'm sure you could probably work something out with the boys at Harley (maybe?) but the first time I saw a Harley rental place was in Palm Springs California.. I was so excited I took a picture of it in the airport. What an AWESOME idea! lol

And we do too watch westerns! I think I have seen them all (Yay for the LoneStar channel). Maybe I belong in Alberta? And I wouldn't be putting down westerns if I was in Nashville (at least not if anyone was around to witness the attack!).

It's ok to imply a lady is getting bigger - we 'grow' too, its just more dangerous that's all!

See you all on the road :biker:

LOL They like Country and Western music here (which I also don't like) - not so big into western movies per se.

actually a lot of Harley dealers are involved in a rental program. Kanes in Calgary does it and there are others in Ontario and BC currently. but didn't see any in NS.

and in the spirit of the original post, i like chaps and i ever wear them when i ride the little ninja 250

leather doesnt shrink on cows because its still living. However during the tanning process it removes most of the shrink factor. Rawhide shrinks a LOT when wet, leather doesnt. if leather shrinks then you can hit it with a lot of leather oils and creams and such and wear it around a little tight for a while and it should stretch right back out. if you had rawhide anything and got it wet, its probabaly useless. if you are wearing rawhide and it gets wet take it off or it will need to be cut off or imprison you. Hard to accept getting a little thicker here and there, but you dont notice when its happening cause you get used to it along the way. warm temps and high humidity should help to stretch leather as well
